Valeria Montero (b. 1996) is a Mexican industrial designer and visual artist based in Mexico City, with a degree from Universidad Iberoamericana. Her work explores hidden narratives within the human experience and utilizes organic materials, such as wood and agave membranes, transforming them into sculptural and functional pieces.

In 2018, Valeria co-founded the Común design collective, where she collaborated on projects that reimagined the use of everyday objects. Their work was exhibited at Inédito and the Abierto Mexicano de Diseño in 2019.

Between 2020 and 2024, Valeria worked as Studio Manager for designer Fernando Laposse, collaborating with international museums and galleries such as MoMA, NGV, and Friedman Benda. This experience allowed her to develop expertise in managing high-profile design projects.

Currently, Valeria is focusing on her own creative practice, continuing to explore new materials and techniques while experimenting with 2D and 3D forms.
